"The Curtain Was Torn"

Christ The Lord is RISEN! HE saved us all! He died and rose again! This just blows my mind! I cannot even fathom what the empty tomb looked like!

This Easter was a great year of understanding and reflecting what God truly did for us!
...I want to share my deeper understanding with you! Mostly because it's like the Gospel and we need to talk about it more and more because it's THE BEST NEWS I HAVE EVER HEARD AND LOVE YOU TOO MUCH TO NOT PROCLAIM IT!

Well, since the Thursday before Easter I would post a YouTube video or two a day on twitter and Facebook pertaining to what Easter was about- I posted them because they were a great reminder in understanding the MOST IMPORTANT LIFE EVENT IN HISTORY! I also posted them because it's encouraging to see postings of Gods truth throughout the web! (I know I get encouraged and convicted at times when others post scripture or something about what God did in their day!!)

Okay, I'm sorry this is getting long but, I want to share a bit of what has been challenging me recently!

Lines from the song "cornerstone" by Hillsong Hear song HERE! :)
"...Lord I trust in your name..."
"...You are my cornerstone..."
"...You are Lord of All..."
"...My anchor holds within the veil..."

These are all lines that remind me of who God is! They have a lot of depth and meaning to them and as I wrote them in my journal I thought...I have to believe this truth! These words are truth!! God is truly our EVERYTHING!! There is so much JOY in knowing: God is Cornerstone, God is Almighty, God is Warrior, God is Savior, God is Rescuer, God is Peace, God is Restorer, God is Merciful, God is Grace, God is... God is God! AMEN!!

I then thought about when the curtain was torn, when Jesus died on the cross! Whoa! Imagine the temple destroyed! Ahh!!!
Passages that talk about the curtain:
Exodus 26:30-33 this passage is about when the curtain was built! It is so specific- it's amazing thinking about the most holy place in the temple separated by the curtain!!
Mark 15:37-38 These verses describe what happened to the curtain when Jesus died. And when Christ died, THE CURTAIN WAS TORN! THE TEMPLE WAS DESTROYED! Just as it was prophesied! John 2:19-22 refers to this as well.
Hebrews 10:19-35 as I read this passage it reminded me of so much truth!(I mean it is Gods Word and I believe it to be true! :) therefore this passage helped me continue to believe!!- glad I could clarify that!!) I put the whole passage on here (below in text and word art!)- but I encourage you to go read it on your own as well!! It's speaks so much of what the resurrection means to us and that we have NEW LIFE IN JESUS CHRIST! We must come to him daily! (This is why I am posting this!) I am a sinner. I will never become righteous. It's is only Jesus Christ that lives in me that makes me worth it! My life is nothing- Christ is everything. I may keep failing but, I know Gods truth is my firm foundation!(I share general information of my personal life on here because I am NOT an open book on the Internet! As I get to know you, I will tell you more about my personal life story and how God continues to renew and restore me!)

Now this brings us into Galatians- the law vs. freedom. It's hard to understand how to live each day! We are free, be we are also prisoners of sin. We are Gods children but we are stuck in our sinful nature. We MUST LIVE BY THE SPIRIT! I hunger and thirst to be more like him! (It's hard to describe the message of Galatians in a few sentences- I encourage you to read through it and study on your own, in a group or with a couple friends if you want!- there's something about studying Gods word with others to gain more and different perspective!!--ahh!! The community of believers!!)

And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us. For we know the one who said, “I will take revenge. I will pay them back.” He also said, “The lord will judge his own people.” It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering. Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things. You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever. So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved. (Hebrews 10:19-39 NLT)

Alright, I have shared some of what I wanted to share! I hope you are encouraged by this! It is just a little bit of my understanding of what the resurrection is about! And seriously there's no way I could talk about everything! It's so much more than I can fathom! All glory to God for such a mystery of his salvation and resurrection!! He is risen! He is alive! We serve a living God!!!

Now that is what the joys of life and living life is about!
